Pool Allocation

Pool allocation is a memory management technique where a fixed-size block of memory (a pool) is pre-allocated and divided into smaller, equally-sized chunks to efficiently handle frequent allocations and deallocations of objects of the same size. It reduces fragmentation and overhead by reusing memory from the pool instead of requesting new memory from the system each time. This is commonly used in performance-critical applications like game engines, embedded systems, and real-time processing to avoid the latency of general-purpose memory allocators.
