Granular Synthesis
Granular synthesis is a digital sound synthesis technique that breaks audio into tiny fragments called grains, typically 1 to 100 milliseconds in length. These grains are then manipulated and recombined to create new sounds, textures, and timbres. It is widely used in electronic music production, sound design, and experimental audio applications.

π§Why learn Granular Synthesis?
Developers should learn granular synthesis when working on audio processing software, digital audio workstations (DAWs), or interactive sound installations, as it enables creative sound manipulation and real-time audio effects. It is particularly valuable for generating evolving textures, time-stretching without pitch shifting, and creating unique soundscapes in music production and game audio.
